Maria is a Director, Actress and Producer based in Cardiff, originally from Yorkshire.

 

Maria studied Acting at Leeds Metropolitan University. During this time appearing in many student and zero budget film projects along the way to gain experience both in front of and behind the camera. As a first time Director she made many experimental feature films being released mainly in the USA, which then eventually led to her first major release 'Pumpkins' with film company Great Northern Productions UK, which had worldwide distribution. She then went on to her next major feature film release 'Bite Night' which was also co written and produced by herself. Maria then worked in association with Purgatory Pictures on a number of films, as well as Assistant Director and Producer on 'Chained' and lead Actress in 'The Call'.  Years later she moved from East Yorkshire to Cardiff and started a new production company with CineNorth Studios, a two man team which have made a number of successful award winning shorts including 'Lost in Sleep' and 'LENA' where she again plays the lead Actress, aswell as Co producing a number of feature films, including the up and coming 'Control' with Cupsogue Pictures.
